Why did I get it: This is book 3 in the Kate Daniels series. But she is always, of course, sleuth-y. Well, in previous books we were repeatedly told by different characters that it is virtually impossible to cure or save anybody who was turning or turned loup - any shifter, be it a child or an adult, who loses his/her sanity must be put down instantly as I really enjoyed that one and I will continue to read the series but please, let it be less miracles more logic in the next installments! I also love This novella focuses on Andrea and Raphael who also play a big part in Magic Strikes (Book 3). Kate Daniels is my very favorite urban fantasy series. She is Kate Daniels of Ilona Andrews's Kate Daniels series, starting with MAGIC BITES and continuing on (one hopes to infinity but so far with four more books, MAGIC BURNS, MAGIC STRIKES, MAGIC BLEEDS and MAGIC SLAYS). I waited too long to review this book, and now I don't really remember enough of my first impression to give an objective review. Not only that—it's not a plotline with ups and downs and promotions and a boss she doesn't like—I mean she changes jobs three times in the series. I love the Kate Daniels world with the alternate Atlanta, the magic and tech waves, and the People and the Pack.
